Week 11: end-of-block

This is the final week of the ‘governing’ with data theme. The central focus of this week is to round up your understanding of the relationships between data and ‘governance’, focusing on key themes and ideas that you have encountered over the block. By the end of the week, you should produce and upload your final data visualisation to your blog. Use this opportunity to explore some key ideas that have become particularly important to you in the past couple of weeks. Also note that this will be your last data visualisation of the course, so draw on your wealth of experience and try to round off the task with a flourish!

Alongside producing your final data visualisation for the course, you will also include some explanatory text. This should include reflection on how your data visualisation practice over the previous three weeks has helped you to think about the relationships between data and ‘governing’, drawing on the readings where appropriate to support your discussion.

Your key tasks this week will be to:

  • Finish reading the core and secondary literature for this block
  • Produce your final data visualisation for the ‘governing’ theme
  • Write some accompanying text to reflect on your data visualisation practice
